I went to this show with Jessica and Melissa and our friend Wayne dropped in and he decided to come with us too. We got there kind of late but they hadn't opened the doors yet so it was cool. There wasn't much of a line, and there were only about 150 people there. Since there wasn't enough people for the main stage, they used the side room stage. The 8 piece Underachievers went on first and played about 30 minutes of their ska/punk. It seemed like a lot of their friends came to see them, and they had a pretty big crowd watching them. UA attracts a good sized following and I can see why.. they're a great band. There was one small skanking circle, and everyone there seemed majorly into them. In my opinion, they played a great set and it was cool seeing them again. Pushover was the same as usual, very solid and a good live show, although not a lot of people stood inside to watch their set. Check out their CD on Asian Man Records. Let's Go Bowling really kept my attention, it's been almost 2 years since I last saw them and I hardly remembered how they were live. I asked my friend Wayne the best way to describe these guys and he said "first wave of third wave ska" and I think that basically sums up LGB. They had all the rudies skanking for their hour long set. Good show, cool crowd.
